A loverly patriotic quilt and what a breeze to make using the Option 11 of the Square in a Square system. It looks like you have to make a lot of half-square triangles when you are really only cutting and sewing 48 of these amazing Option 11’s. We used the five reds from the Celebrating Abe fabric collection and the cream background of the quilt has a small red star. (#7001 from Abby’s Schoolhouse fabric collection)

The border is created by using Option 4 half-square triangles in the blue tones from the Celebrating Abe fabric. The small and large flags from the Celebrating Abe fabric was also used to create this beautiful Liberty Pinwheel quilt.
