   This simple quilt is very easy to make as it highlights Option # 7.  This is the first Option working with the diamond unit.  So instead of starting with a square in a middle you start with a diamond in the middle.  This is a class that many students can complete it in a 6 hour class.

   This particular quilt is made using the Celebrating Abe Lincoln fabrics. The red and blue words are Abe Lincoln’s actual handwritten speech of the Gettysburg Address. The Red battleground basic fabric represents the cannons that fired during the Civil War battles and the small flags are actual representations of the flags flown on the Confederate flagships.
