We call this quilt, Abe Lincoln’s Star; in the Advancing On II Book it is called Stars of Crimson or Crimson Stars. This is a remarkable quilt to make and you will amaze yourself that you can do this. This beauty of a quilt is not hard - just a lot of piecing, about 8 to 10 hours. Option #1, #7, and #9 are required for this block.
The block size is a cut 6-1/2”, sewn 6”.
FABRIC PLACEMENT:
For our kit, the fabric placement is from the picture here on the website. On the kit that you purchased, the red check is on the other corners. So, on page 75 of your book, ste 4 just sew the red check fabric on the other corners and square it up. The border can be whatever width that you want. Our is about 4 1/2" cut size.
